Does my Amazon Brand Registry apply to all marketplaces?
As a general rule, BR applies only to a certain country, the country where the TM was obtained, if it is the USA, then it applies to the U.S. marketplace.
However, you have to keep in mind that Amazon has one single base for all BRs, so if someone in the USA already has BR and you want to register BR for the same TM, but in Germany, it will be possible only if you have the documents on hand, confirming the ownership of the TM, that is, a fully registered TM.
Can I add BR if the TM owner is not the same as the account owner?
Technically it can be done, but there will be problems if Amazon requests documents confirming that the account and trademark belong to the same person or entity. That is why we recommend registering a TM and getting BR to the owner of the Amazon account.
